CONTINGENT PAYMENT BILL PASSED BY SENATECOMMITTEE

SB 324, sponsored by Sen. Bob Duell, received a unanimoun 8-0 vote in the Wenate Business and commerce Committee this week. Todd Hewitt, a TCA member subcontractor from Austin, testifies in suooprt of the measure and several subcontractors signed cards, make phone calls and sent letters in support of the measure. The bill was certified for the Senate Local and Uncontested Calendar. HB 734 by Rep. Chisum, the eompanion bill in the House, is awaiting hearing in the House Committee.
